National Coming Out Day: Donation Campaign Announcement

National Coming Out Day is just around the corner, and it’s a moment to celebrate courage, authenticity, and visibility. It’s a day when we honor the journeys of those in the LGBTIQ community who have come out and recognize that this act, whether public or private, takes immense bravery. For those who aren’t ready or able to come out, we see you, too. Courtly is built on the belief that everyone deserves to be seen and supported, and this October 11th, we want to celebrate and stand with the LGBTIQ community—not just in words, but in action.

Our Commitment to Supporting Equality

In celebration of National Coming Out Day, I’m excited to share that Courtly will be donating 1% of all wedding sales during the month of October to Outright International. Outright International is a global nonprofit that does incredible work to strengthen the LGBTIQ human rights movement and advocate for inclusion and equality worldwide. This isn’t just about financial support; it’s about solidarity. Courtly’s mission has always been rooted in creating access to legal marriage for everyone, everywhere, and we believe that supporting organizations like Outright International is one of the ways we can help make a difference.

Why Outright International?

Outright International’s work impacts lives around the world. From advocating for LGBTIQ rights at the United Nations to empowering local activists in countries where being LGBTIQ is still criminalized, their work is truly global. They fight for the human rights of people who, far too often, are denied their most basic freedoms. By supporting them, we’re aligning with our values of equality, inclusivity, and the belief that love in all its forms should be celebrated and protected. You can learn more about their work here: Outright International.

Why We’re Doing This

When we started Courtly, one of our biggest motivations was the knowledge that so many people couldn’t marry the person they loved because of where they lived. We’ve been able to marry thousands of same-sex couples who otherwise wouldn’t have had that opportunity, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of. This mission is at the heart of what we do: providing greater access to legal marriage for everyone, everywhere.

The fight for equality is ongoing, and we want to do our part. Supporting organizations like Outright International, who are on the front lines of that fight, is one way we can continue to push for change. It’s also a reminder of why we exist—to strive for a world where all forms of love are recognized, celebrated, and protected everywhere.

How You Can Get Involved

There are many ways to make an impact this National Coming Out Day. If you’re able to, you can support Outright International directly by donating or sharing their work with others. If that’s not possible, simply spreading the word about this campaign or sharing your own story of what National Coming Out Day means to you can create ripples of change. Every small action counts, and collectively, we can move the needle on LGBTIQ rights.

A Message of Support and Solidarity

As National Coming Out Day approaches, let’s remember that true equality requires all of us to stand together. At Courtly, we are proud to support the LGBTIQ community—not just on October 11th, but every day. Together, we can create a world where everyone has the right to love freely, without fear, and where the dignity of every individual is recognized and respected.

I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on what National Coming Out Day means to you and how we can each contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate world. Thank you for standing with us in support of equality, and let’s continue to fight for a future where love is celebrated in all its beautiful forms.
